Our Philosophy
Each new project is an opportunity to modernize and improve our clients use of the spaces in which they live through functional and contextual design. Our design process is inspired by three guiding principles.
Natural Light
A sensible balance between light and shadow is the foundation for all buildings. Through the use of large expanses of glass and the careful placement of windows in response to solar orientation and neighboring site conditions, we create spaces with proper daylighting and select views for a much more enjoyable experience of the space.
- Contrast
Our work is characterized by a creative mixture of traditional contextual forms with modern lifestyle and technology. It is a mixture of old and new that creates rich visual interest and gives character to space.
- Interaction
Spaces should function and relate to each other in a meaningful way, and careful thought is put into how we use and circulate through the building. We believe in spaces that promote social interaction while creating suprise moments for those who inhabit them.
Our primary focus and specialty is in single family residential design in the Northern New Jersey/ New York metropolitan area.
